About Me
Hello! My name is Coco Villamar, and I am originally from the Bay Area, California. I am a senior at the University of Michigan, pursuing a degree in Communications and Media with minors in Entrepreneurship and Data Science. My passion lies at the intersection of data, design, and storytelling. I love finding ways to merge strategy with artistry, whether that’s shaping brand narratives, designing innovative campaigns, or uncovering data-driven insights that bring bold ideas to life. My work reflects a balance between analytical thinking and imaginative problem-solving, and I’m always looking for new ways to blend creativity with business impact.
This past summer, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of fashion PR as a Public Relations Intern at Oscar de la Renta in New York City. During my 8-week internship, I contributed to celebrity styling and editorial shoots, conducted trend and influencer research, supported cross-functional marketing initiatives, and played a role in the PR efforts for the Lake Tahoe PS26 show. It was an incredible opportunity to see the power of brand storytelling and high-profile placements up close.
I additionally expanded my experience internationally as a Showroom Intern for MMW Collective at Paris Fashion Week. There, I curated and onboarded sustainable brands, helped manage a 600 sq. m showroom space, and helped foster meaningful connections between over 300 industry leaders, buyers, and exhibitors—all while advancing MMW Collective’s mission of conscious curation, sustainability, and craftsmanship.
I am dedicated to bringing creativity, strategy, and collaboration together to drive growth and elevate brand presence. As I continue to explore opportunities across fashion, marketing, and media, I’m eager to apply my unique blend of skills to create innovative solutions and meaningful impact.
